More than 57 million children continue to be denied the right to primary education. Can you help?

Almost 30 million children in Africa, 12 million children in Asia and 15 million children around the rest of the world do not attend school. About half will never enter a classroom. **

The financing gap for primary education has increased over the last three years.** Here at Global Hope Alliance we understand that access to education is a key factor in poverty alleviation. We work in developing countries where the need is the greatest.

• 98% of all non-literates live in developing countries.

• 52% of all non-literates live in India and China.

• Africa as a continent has a literacy rate of less than 60%.

• In all developing countries, the percentage of children aged 6-11 not attending school is 15%. In the least developed countries, it is 45%.
